I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
