The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of characters who will split off from the central cast to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear mismatched, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then settled his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each member has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile environment.
- The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could help the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The target is marked for death by the family.
This means them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
